Week 1 in New Zealand Recap

1. Pak'nSave aka Pakasak to me because I can't seem to remember we are not in Nappanee...without Pak'nSave we would starve. We would not be able to make our nightly runs for Salt & Vinegar chips. Why Salt & Vinegar you ask? Well, it's just a crazy new craving we've all developed.

2. Tim Tam Slam. Just read the blog before this one and you'll understand. :)

3. Questionable meat at dinner. Do we dare eat it? yes we do. Only later to find it messes up your bowel movements and you are seen running back to campus from Pak'nSave for a bathroom.

4. Ate at Burger King this week more than I have in the last 3 years.

5. Flash cards. Over and over flashing in front of our faces trying to memorize Chinese characters...in fear of a quiz.

6. Worship time with Matt Swank. Feeling completely in awe of God with burdens lifted. Having a feeling of happiness that I haven't felt in a long time.

7. Shopping in downtown Auckland with the girls. We tried on ridiculous clothing and dresses at Glassons on Queen street. We ended up all buying matching tank tops at Supré that say "I <3 NZ BRO."

8. Spontaneously getting my nosed pierced. We walked in to a tattoo/piercing parlor to ask about prices and me and another girl on the trip got our noses pierced.

9. A rainy weekend. Makes for nice bonding time together inside.

10. A girls night. A night where testimonies were told and struggles were voiced. A time of getting to know each other and grow closer as friends.

  1. i have got to say... the nose ring is totally you. i'm surprised it took you this long actually.
Glad God is doing some awesome things in your life. Only makes me more excited for you to come back home so we can have a classic hot tub convo :)
